Last week, Qingres and Elsevier signed the cooperation agreement for Semantic Summarization Project (SSP). The long term target of the project is to develop standards for summarization of scientific articles in computerized structured form that can be used for graphical visualization and downstream algorithms. The short term goal is building special interface for Qingres authors that can be used to deposit information into Elsevier Pathway Studio database. The information for the database will be generated by the authors whose manuscripts have been accepted to Qingres journals. The format and content of submitted data will be monitored by both Qingres and Pathway Studio teams through close collaboration and communication.
This project will greatly facilitate the readability and reachability of scientific articles benefiting authors.
